چکیده

The Chemical Hamiltonian Approach ~CHA! versions of the Roothaan and Kohn–Sham equations, labeled CHA/F and CHA/DFT, respectively, have been used to obtain the basis set superposition error ~BSSE!-corrected first-order electron density of the hydrogen fluoride dimer with several basis sets. We have analyzed the effect of BSSE in terms of the electronic relaxation, i.e., the redistribution of the electron density due to the inclusion of the CHA correction at a frozen geometry, along with the subsequent nuclear relaxation process. Critical points of the charge density have been located and characterized to compare the conventional, uncorrected first-order electron density against the BSSE-corrected density at each level of theory. Contour difference maps between BSSE-corrected and uncorrected densities on the molecular plane have also been plotted to gain insight into the effects of BSSE correction on the electron density. © 2000 American Institute of Physics. @S0021-9606~00!31423-4#

The interaction of Magnesium hydrate at the phosphate oxygen atom of the pyrimidine nucleotides (CMP,UMP,dTMP) were studied at the Hartree-Fock level Theory. We used LANL2DZ basis set for Mg and 6-31g* basis set for atoms. The basis set superposition error (BSSE) begins to converge for used Method/basis set. The gauge-invariant atomic orbital (GIAO) method and the continuous-set-of-gauge-transfo...

A chemical Hamiltonian approach study of the basis set superposition error changes on electron densities and one- and two-center energy components

The basis set superposition error-corrected first-order electron densities of several hydrogen bonded complexes of increasing molecular size have been obtained with the Hartree–Fock and density-functional theory versions of the chemical Hamiltonian approach ~CHA! methodology. A detailed analysis of the local basis set superposition error ~BSSE! effects has been carried out by comparing the unco...

Theoretical insight of substituent effect in para substituted Fe(CO)4–pyridine complexes

Abstract: Systematic studies on the substituent effect in para substituted Fe(CO)4–pyridine complexes have been studied on the basis of DFT quantum-chemical calculations. The following substituents were taken into consideration: NO2, CN, CHO, F, H, CH3, and OH. Additionally, the Fe–N and Fe–C bonds were characterized on the basis of Atoms in Molecules topological analysis of electron density. I...

A New Modification of Morse Potential Energy Function

Interaction of meso — tetrakis (p-sulphonato phenyl) porphyrin (hereafter abbreviated to TSPP)with Na+ has been examined using HF level of theory with 6-31G* basis set. Counterpoise (CP)correction has been used to show the extent of the basis set superposition error (BSSE) on thepotential energy curves. The numbers of Na+ have a significant effect on the calculated potentialenergy curve (includ...
